Type: Part-time, Contract (October 2025 – March 2026)
Hours: 12 hours per week

 

About the Project

The DGB Connect (Inclusion Hub) is a collaborative, community-driven initiative led by Darmont GivesBack, in partnership with the County of Brant, Brant OPP, and local service agencies.

DGB Connect provides culturally responsive orientation, support, and engagement programs to help newcomers integrate successfully while improving community safety and well-being.

This project represents a first-of-its-kind model in rural Ontario, combining social inclusion, mental wellness, and proactive policing to create a welcoming, connected, and resilient Brant County.

Position Overview

The Administrative Support Staff will provide essential coordination and clerical support to ensure the smooth delivery of DGB activities. This includes scheduling, data entry, documentation, logistics, and communication support.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced community environment that values collaboration, inclusion, and social impact.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Scheduling

  • Maintain project calendars and assist in scheduling meetings, events, and community outreach sessions.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute documentation.
  • Support coordination of CSLO (Community Safety Liaison Officer) weekly schedules.

Data Entry & Reporting

  • Input client intake and referral data into shared project tracking systems.
  • Compile and maintain records for monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Organize digital and physical files in compliance with confidentiality standards.

Communications & Partner Liaison

  • Support the preparation and distribution of project emails, flyers, and information materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date contact lists for community partners and stakeholders.
  • Assist in tracking attendance and follow-up actions from events and meetings.

Event & Logistics Support

  • Coordinate supplies, venue setup, and logistics for community workshops and meetings.
  • Assist with outreach events, ensuring smooth execution and participant registration.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent experience in Office Administration, Project Coordination, or Community Services.
  • 1–2 years of relevant administrative experience (nonprofit or community-based experience is an asset).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
