DGB Connect is a Darmont GivesBack initiative designed to strengthen inclusion, belonging, and community connection for newcomers, immigrants, refugees, and racialized individuals living in the County of Brant.
By bringing together community partners, service providers, and local leaders, DGB Connect bridges gaps in access, fosters trust, and creates opportunities for everyone to feel seen, supported, and empowered to belong.

About DGB Connect
Our Story
Launched by Darmont GivesBack, DGB Connect was created from the belief that true community safety and well-being begin with meaningful connection. Developed in partnership with the County of Brant’s Community Safety and Well-Being initiative and the Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), this program brings together local organizations and frontline agencies to build a more inclusive and supportive community. Together, we work to ensure that every newcomer and resident has access to the relationships, resources, and information they need to thrive.

Programs & Services
Community Orientation & Inclusion Workshops
Interactive sessions designed to help newcomers understand local systems, community norms, and available supports, while fostering mutual learning between residents and newcomers.
Peer Mentorship & Cultural Navigators
Trusted mentors and cultural navigators help individuals and families connect to programs, navigate services, and feel supported through their settlement journey.
Access to Services & Resources
DGB Connect links participants to essential community resources, including mental health, housing, employment, education, and wellness programs, through a coordinated network of partner organizations.
Youth & Family Engagement
Our youth and family initiatives focus on school readiness, leadership development, and positive identity formation to help young people feel included and confident in their community.
Cultural Bridging & Anti-Racism Education
Workshops and campaigns that promote understanding, break down biases, and encourage respectful collaboration across diverse communities and institutions.
