Project: County of Brant – Newcomer Integration Support Hub (CoB-NISH)

Duration: October 2025 – March 2026 (6-month contract, with possibility of extension)

Location: County of Brant / Hybrid (In-person & Remote)
About the DGB Connect Project
The DGB Connect Project is a new initiative funded through the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General’s Community Safety and Policing (CSP) Grant. Led by the County of Brant OPP in partnership with the County of Brant, and Darmont GivesBack as Community Partner and Project Lead, the project will establish a newcomer integration support hub. This hub will connect newcomers to culturally responsive services, provide safety and orientation workshops, and build stronger newcomer–police and newcomer–community relationships.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of DGB Connect, ensuring that project objectives are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with funder requirements. The successful candidate will manage staff, coordinate stakeholders, lead reporting, and support sustainability planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project workplan, schedules, and deliverables.
- Supervise and support Community Safety Liaison Officers (CSLOs) and administrative staff.
- Coordinate with OPP, County staff, Darmont GivesBack, and other partners.
- Oversee service delivery, workshops, and referral pathways.
- Track data, prepare reports, and ensure CSP compliance.
- Lead communications in collaboration with Darmont GivesBack.
- Support sustainability planning and development of future funding proposals.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in project management, community development, social services, or related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in project coordination or program management.
- Experience working with newcomers, refugees, or diverse communities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally safe practices is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
Terms of Employment
- Contract Duration: 12 Months
- Schedule: 25 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (In-person & Remote)
